Will Rogers State Historic Park
The Will Rogers State Historic Park is' the former 186 acre estate of Will Rogers. It is located in the Santa Monica Mountains, in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles. The property was acquired and became a state park in 1944. Visitors can hike the perimeter of the 186 acre park or can continue on to Topanga State Park. They can even hike the Backbone Trail all the way to Point Mugu State Park nearly 70 miles to the northwest. The original 31 room ranch house has been renovated and is available to be viewed by visitors.
Will Rogers State Beach
Will Rogers State Beach is a public beach that extends 1.75 miles along the coast in Pacific Palisades on the Santa Monica Bay. Santa Monica and Santa Monica Beach are located to the southeast.
The Strand
The Strand, also known as the Marvin Braude Bike Trail, is a 22 mile paved bicycle path that runs along the Pacific Ocean shoreline in western Los Angeles County from Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades, south to Torrance.
